I’ve been doing contract work for a while now, and I’m starting to feel like it’s holding me back from growing my skills. Since contract roles often don’t offer as many opportunities for training or advancement, it’s hard to see how I can keep progressing in my career. What strategies can I use to continue developing professionally and expanding my skill set while working in temporary or contract positions that may not provide much room for growth?

As a contract worker, I often find myself moving from one project to another every few months. Because of the short time I spend at each, it can be really challenging to build meaningful relationships or expand my professional network. I worry that this is limiting my career growth, as connections are often key to new opportunities. What are some effective strategies for networking and building lasting professional relationships when you're working in temporary contract roles?

Asking for opinion. If a company decided to take back the offer letter yang kita dah sign, dan tak jadi offer kerja tu dekat kita sebab alasan tiba2 pengambilan kerja dibekukan oleh pihak atasan, apa tindakan yg kita boleh ambil terhadap company ni ye? I belum start kerja lagi cuma dah sign kontrak.

Kontrak saya nak tamat dah bulan depan. Kalau ikut bincang dengan boss haritu memang nak sambung. Maybe akan ada review minggu depan. Soalan: Ada tips tak untuk nego naik gaji ataupun kerja kontrak ni memang susah yakmat nak naik gaji? FYI dah 1 tahun kerja kontrak. Performance sy OK, kerja takde masalah. Ingat nk mintak 5% increment.

Salam, i'd like to ask for opinions. I dah 2 tahun kerja kontrak, tapi masih tak pasti mana arah tuju. Kontrak ni renew setiap tahun. Masa mula2 join memang company dah cakap peluang utk diserap jadi permanent tu sgt tipis tapi ada possibility. Should I push my luck or better cari kerja tempat lain yg boleh bagi permanent position?

I'm on contract-basis but there's no epf and socso deduction from our monthly salary. Company says it's like this for contract worker (they call us vendor). My question is: Is this legal? Can I report my company to pejabat buruh? Also how to mencarum epf socso on our own? anybody can advise...

Sometimes I feel underappreciated because permanent employees get more benefits. Unlike us who are on contract-basis. No health insurance, no bonus, increment whatsoever. Only salary we get every month. Salary also not that much, market rate pun tak sampai. I know it's VERY HARD to get a job nowadays so i want to ask contract workers here, how do you stay motivated even though you're just on a contract?

My contract allows me to WFH and as long as i get the job done, i can close my laptop and do other things. Since i have quite free time on my hand, I'm thinking about starting a side business. Question: Is it possible to run a side business while working a contract job, or are there legal limitations?

Betul ke org kata kalau kerja kontrak ni gaji lagi tinggi? tapi kenapa gaji aku tak tinggi pun? Sama je dengan market rate, dan workload kerja pun sama dgn staff permanent. Rasa macam kena tindas dan digunakan company. patut tak chow ataupun stay dulu ambik pengalaman? Dah 1 tahun kerja. Mohon pandangan. TQ
