I’m a Gen Z trying to navigate the switch between casual slang and formal corporate language. It’s tricky balancing the two, especially when I want to sound professional but still be myself. Anyone else dealing with this? How do you manage code-switching in your work life while staying authentic?

It's fine kid. They sure understand, especially you're new to this. What’s worked for me is saving the casual slang for more informal conversations or when chatting with peers, and using corporate language for meetings or emails. Over time, you’ll find a flow that lets you stay authentic while fitting the setting.

Sometimes just being yourself, without trying to change how you speak, works out fine. Over time, you’ll naturally pick up on how people talk and the office lingo without forcing it.

As long as you able to show your respect to them, it should be fine in a way of how you currently communicate :)
