SME company in Klang
7 yrs working experienceI nak tanya, am i being underpaid guys? I dah kerja dkt company ni for 2 yrs and before that 5 yrs at 3 different company. Masa i join, gaji i sama dgn previous company because I was desperate for a job. Now after 2 yrs, still sama. 🥲 At 1st they said akan ada kenaikan after 1 year, then tiba2 company announce rugi that year. Last year pun alasan sama. If i nk berhenti, how much increment should i ask? 50%?
-
My POV is even the company announced they rugi every year but you still ada hak utk discuss and nego for increment. Take note to provide your track record and achievement. Also if you nak resign and jump to new company, try to put your expected salary 30% higher at first. Understand your 7yrs experience but if you go with SME company, maybe you might expect the salary range not that much.

Increment 50% tu agak tinggi tapi if you try jump to MNC company with your experience mungkin boleh. Cuma kena tweak your resume and cover letter yg padu. Faham je your frustration bila every year ada je reason company tak boleh bagi increment. Apa pun try to nego first and tak salah pun nak berhenti tuk gaji yg lagi tinggi.
-
You still young and can aim for better package. Make sure not to focus on the salary itself, consider the better benefit as well. But that 50% quite high, maybe you need to lower down sikit to the figure that you think reasonable with your experience.
-

It's best to secure a new job before you resign. Minimum always put 30% increase. No harm asking for more, best is to put slightly more and negotiate later because employers highly likely will. Plus take a look at the package in terms of benefits. If the employer negotiated with a lower basic than expected, you can try to nego for better benefits if that's the company you really wanna work at.
