Feeling stuck in my current role with no salary progression. Generally speaking, is it better to look for a new job or try to negotiate internally first? I'm worried if I bring this up with my boss, he may infer that I'm potentially considering to leave and view it negatively. In that case, is it better I just go ahead and look elsewhere without mentioning anything to him? Debating my next move and could use some advice.

I think it depends on your relationship with your boss. If you feel there’s trust, it might be worth discussing it directly, showing that you’re committed but want to grow. But if you sense any hesitancy, maybe start looking for other roles quietly, so you have a backup plan before taking any steps

I know that feeling. Like you feel is a bit risky to bring up topic about salary raise with your boss. Cause we don’t want to make a scene. If you’re too worried, it’s never a bad idea to quietly seek for different options
