Been job hunting for a year now & been interviewed 7x already. The reason I wanna resign from my current job mainly because of late salary payment (up to 2-3 months) & no increment spjg 2 tahun lebih I work here. My current basic salary is 2.3k. So, pada pendapat you all, adakah expected salary range between 2.8k to 3k too much utk position saya ni (Purchasing Exec)? Because ada company yang I interviewed said "Why beza/banyak sangat range expected salary dgn basic salary?" So, how? ㅜㅠ

The thing is expected salary yang I letak tu based on job market and location. Also, even if I might lack with a few aspects yang employer cari, range tu valid je, kan? I know what I can contribute to the employer, and I rasa that's my worth, even tho everyone around me cakap I can put higher than that.

That sounds really tough! Dealing with late payments and no raises can be super frustrating. I think aiming for 2.8k to 3k is totally fair for a Purchasing Exec, especially given your experience. When companies ask about the gap between your current salary and what you expect, you can just explain that your current pay doesn’t really match your skills or what’s happening in the market. You want a job that appreciates what you bring to the table!
-
Just explain that your current situation isn't reflecting your skills or the market rates. If companies are questioning your range, you can mention that it’s based on your experience and the standard in the industry.
-
If that's the market salary range and you believe you have the skills, don't settle for less. Be more confident and sell yourself harder.

Thank you for your comment. I'll keep that in mind!

Thanks for the insight. I'll sure keep this in mind for the upcoming interview

You can sue your employer for late payment! Try checking your employment contract. If not mistaken, according to labour law they cannot delay the payment more than 7 days. If they fail to comply with you should file a complaint at the Labour Department.
