Is it FAIR when your new colleague earns SAMA BANYAK like you yang dah kerja selama 5 tahun TAPI pengalaman kerja dia baru 3 tahun je?? Jawatan similar, jobscope lebih kurang. Cuma bezanya i senior lah sebab i dah kerja dkt company ni for 2 years. I tak marah budak baru tu pun. In fact, she got hired BECAUSE OF ME. I yg mintak my boss for an assistant. Kerja makin byk, i dah tak larat buat sorang. So now i nak jumpa my boss to confront abt this. Do u think i boleh dpt gaji tinggi lagi?

Kesiannya dkt you!! Memang tak patut la boss u bagi gaji sama byk. At least kena la kurang sikit sbb dia pun masuk sbb nk tolong kurangkan workload you dan you lagi senior. mmg jawatan sama tapi tengok la sape masuk dulu dan keje lagi lama kan. Totally 100% should talk abt this to your boss. go for it!

First thing, your new colleague pun are not supposed to told you how much she earn. This is the reason why we need to keep our salary as p&c. Now you felt demotivated. Good things, better to talk with your boss and let him know your workload, achievement and all. Be confident and talk to him.

Alamak.. dah la you yg recommend end up dia dpt extra salary pulak. Kalau teman tapi mesra you okaylah lagi kan. But be professional, work is work. Personal is personal. So situation cam ni, discuss dgn boss you. Maybe dia pun ada POV sendiri why she been offered higher than you. Manalah tahu gaji dia yg sblum ni pun tinggi so sebab tu dia jump to new company, dia dpt lebih lagi. Chill benda boleh bwk bincang lagi ok!

Itu sebablah jgn kepochi nak cerita bab gaji. Tapi kalau dia tak cite sampai bile pun tak tahu. Kalau track record kerja you bagus, then takde issue pun boss nak increase gaji you. Cuma tiap company ada timeline dorang sendiri bila masa utk increment. Kalau tiap awal tahun, then kena la tunggu at least lagi 2 bulan baru merasa dpt naik gaji sikit.

Bagus ada rasa nak ckp dgn boss you tu. Prepare all the documents, track record kerja you, share experience you selama kerja dgn company tu. Since all this while you keje sorang, jd ada je peluang utk boss you increase sikit gaji you.

You can try to negotiate but be prepared that your boss will turn down your request for higher salary. But before that you must be able to justify what you can offer to the company that you deserve a higher salary. Salary comparison with your peers is not a good reason.

Bukan setakat nk mintak gaji lebih means boleh dapat walaupun pangkat lebih tinggi. Kena fikir apa contribution dan results yg pernah dicapai. Kadang2 kena tengok personality dan perangai jgk.

No harm to confront about it because clarity means everything when there is some sussssss behaviour right? Talk to you manager first lepastu baru fikir apa nak buat. Jangan mintak boss berhentikan assistant you pulak 🤣
