Hi everyone!! Not sure if this is the right place to ask about agriculture, but thought I'd try anyway :)
What are your thoughts on the increasing popularity of urban farming initiatives in Singapore and Malaysia? Open to discuss further on the benefits of food sustainability, community engagement, and environmental conservation. Let me know your thoughts and happy to chat more! -
Hi Irene! Woah, this is quite a heavy topic to cover, haha, but it's good to chat about it. Yup, it's true that urban farming is getting more popular in Singapore. Even last year, I heard that the government has plans to use the unused rooftop spaces for agriculture. But yeah, it could just be a rumour 🤷🏼‍♀

IMO. Urban farming is great in theory, but it feels like it’s still pretty niche in Singapore market. Definitely a long way to go before it becomes a widespread practice for everyone here

Good initiative. Just that the scale of urban farming is too small to see the impact. Might need more support from gov and people too

Also new to this urban farming. Wondering what setup ppl use, like why some people dont keen to do it haha

Idk if this initiative can be truly effective in SG
