We all used to hear that we should pursue a STEM degree instead of arts as the latter wouldn't earn as much in the future job market. But has anyone checked if this is actually true? Do STEM graduates truly earn more than Arts graduates in today's market? Coz me and many of my arts friends are working as lawyers, consultants, bankers etc and doing pretty well financially...

the idea that STEM degrees always lead to higher earnings than Arts degrees is a bit of an oversimplification... Anyway, it's true that some STEM fields, like engineering or computer science, usually have high starting salaries, many Arts graduates find success in well-paying fields too...
