Honestly, I'm all for the high pay if it means we get quality leadership. Think about it, if it attracts smart, capable people who could easily work in high-paying private roles, then it’s worth it for Singapore.

To me, it’s just another reflection of SG’s competitive mindset😌we treat politics like a business in some ways. I get why some might see it as excessive, but the gov says it keeps corruption low and ensures our ministers stay focused on the job.
