I've noticed this trend in the industry too!! The jump in starting salaries for new graduates has been quite substantial recently. It's definitely sparked discussions about the pay gap between those just entering the workforce and those who've been in their roles for a couple of years. Many junior employees, some of my senior graduated I've spoken with, have expressed concerns about the discrepancy.

My advice, try to present a salary request in a range even though you are still fresh graduate. You did your internship too right? If you do, try to ask your supervisor there and see how much they offer for jr role/entry level there. Then that’s how you can expect for your next company that you’re going for interview.

It’s great that you have 4 years of experience—Singapore’s IT industry is competitive, but there are companies that sponsor skilled employees, especially in system admin roles. You could try applying to roles that list sponsorship as an option, and don’t hesitate to mention it in your cover letter so employers know upfront
