Hmm good info you share! This highlights a deeper issue about the skills gap. If locals aren’t applying even with the salary increase, it could mean they’re not seeing the opportunities or feel the pay isn’t aligned with their qualifications

Hi everyone! I'm a Malaysian who has attended 2 interviews with a company from Singapore. The arrangement is I'll be working remotely from Malaysia and it's a contract based. Would like to know whether it's reasonable for me to ask a for a SGD salary, benchmarked to Singapore's market rate for software designer? If yes, may i know what's the range like? Thanks!

Looking for a role in tech? Singapore's digital economy contributed 17.3% to economic growth and more than 200,000 tech jobs in 2022, according to a report by IMDA and LKYSPP. Roles in software and applications, such as software and developer engineers, make up most of the tech jobs with significant growth. But roles are also growing in cloud computing, network and infrastructure, management and product development. Still interested to pursue a tech career?
