Found this on FB. Your thoughts? "Over the past 2years, I’ve been recruiting a local software developer with a salary range of $1,800 to $2,400 but received no responses. I raised the range to $1,800 to $3,600, depending on experience, and expanded to citizens, PRs, and dependent pass holders. I got some responses from Malaysians and dependent pass holders but none from citizens or PRs. How can we help locals gain the skills to match their salary expectations?

This trend makes sense.. cos data is king, and AI is reshaping industries, so it's no surprise data scientists are seeing big pay jumps. Cybersecurity too, with the growing need to protect all that data!

Does anyone here know what the going rate is for full stack software developers in Singapore so I can see if my expectations are too high. Currently asking for $8-$10k/month. Preferably in the financial industry with 4-5 years experience. I've tried looking on recruitment sites but they don't list the salaries offered and I'm a bit worried if I'm asking for too much atm. Personally, I love coding too much to want to leave it behind for management. For me, there’s so much satisfaction in building things and solving problems hands-on. I know a few folks who prefer the managerial path, but it really depends on what drives you.

I’m in a similar situation, also working remotely from Malaysia for an SG company. From my experience, they typically adjust the salary slightly lower than in-office SG roles but still peg it close to SG rates.
